Reusable Coffee Capsules - 2 Pack
Took a lot of trial and error and several bad coffees including getting the pod stuck in my machine a few time and panicking it would be stuck in there forever (always make sure the cap is fully screwed on, its a nightmare to get out if it comes apart!)
Purchased a couple months ago and have definitely got the hang of it now thankfully. I use one of the middle sized filters and Campos coffee beans in their aeropress grind size and find this works really well for me.

Reusable Coffee Capsules - 2 Pack
I had a bad start with these capsules because the written instructions that come with the product are very misleading - they tell you to insert the filter as a first step, when in fact there is already a filter in the lid, so if you follow the instructions, you will end up with double-filters, which is what I did!! The instructions do say don't put 2 filters in, but I actually thought the original filter was part of the lid itself and that another filter had to be inserted to begin with. With 2 filters in, not only did the capsule fail to produce proper coffee, but the filters were also difficult to get out. For a minute, I thought I had to throw those brand new capsules away, wasting almost $100! Fortunately the tamper came in handy and I used it to give the stuck filters a firm but gentle tap and they finally came out.
It was only after I watched the video that WayCap put on YouTube did I realise that you need to first get the original filter out before putting another filter in, but this should not be required at all if you are a first time user and don't know which filter suits you yet (in which case you should simply try the one that is already in the lid as a first step).
I have found that the filter that originally came with the lid is the one that works best for me because I only use ground coffee bought from the supermarket, which is usually medium-fine grind. In any event, the ONLY filter that is capable of being inserted properly is the one that was originally in the lid (ie the one with the most holes). None of the other filters fit and the capsule can't close properly if you put one of those in. You should note that just because the capsule looks and feels like it is fully closed, that doesn't necessarily mean it is. When closed properly, the black band at the top of the capsule should not be visible, as shown in the WapCap video.
The WayCap website also has other useful videos that you should have a look before you start, as they offer extra tips not included in the instructions pamphlet. That will save you a lot of frustrating trials and errors and disappointment. Following those tips, you should be able to produce a decent coffee quite quickly. I have found the quality of the coffee similar enough to that of my original Nespresso capsules in terms of strength, with fairly decent crema. Don't expect the kind of crema you see in the WapCap videos though.

Reusable Coffee Capsules - 2 Pack
I've purchased the WayCap capsules from Flora & Fauna and have used them for a few weeks now.
I absolutely love the concept of not having to waste capsules anymore and they work great!
You gotta get used to using the right grind first, but once you have the capsules are super efficient to use.
They arrive in a carton-like box and the capsules themselves are made out of metal, which is great!
Unfortunately, the temper and case for the capsules is hard plastic. It'd be great if that could turn into steel or something eco-friendly in the future :-)
Otherwise, great eco-friendly product!

Reusable Coffee Capsules - 2 Pack
I highly recommend these reusable pods. They are every thing they promise. By reading the instructions carefully you will enjoy a good result. It takes a little persistence to get the right grind to suit the pods, based on your coffee blend and choice of filter screen. (Start with the one with most filter holes, read the instructions for further suggestion). I suggest you cut open a standard supermarket pod, and get a feel for the grind particles they use, and replicate this on your own grinder setting. Grinding fresh is best. With each pod needing approx 5.5grams Of coffee, we grind up enough to fill 10 pods. So we always have some grind ready to use. If you want to push the boundaries and experiment with the different filter screens & changing you coffee blends, I suggest to always start with a control recipe and change one variable at a time. E.g. start with 5.5g coffee, medium coarse grind, tamp firmly, use filter screen with the most holes....if it pours to fast. Adjust your grind slightly finer. Or if you only have pre ground coffee, play with changing the filter screens. Happy Days!!
