The Little Veggie Patch Co, Beetroot 'Detroit' Heirloom Seeds

Growing your own produce is made easy with The Little Veggie Patch Co's heirloom seeds. The Beetroot 'Detroit' Seeds grow uniform and smooth with a dark blood red flesh. This variety was first introduced in the 19th century, It is sweet and tasty, perfect with salad greens. There are approximately 60 seeds per pack and they grow harmoniously with Onions. Vegan and cruelty free.

  • Spacing: 10-20cm
  • Depth: 0.5cm-1cm
  • Soil pH level: 6.5-7.0
  • Position: Full sun preferred, but will tolerate partial shade

How to Plant

Use a free-draining soil well integrated with compost or good quality potting mix when growing in pots. Soak in water overnight prior to planting and then sow directly to the patch, along shallow trench lines. Seedlings may need thinning out if growing too closely.
