We use a shocking 3 million coffee capsules every day in Australia, which is over 1 billion a year! Just think that would be globally. This not only is devastating on the environment but also on our pocket with pods costing more than double the equivalent cost of ground coffee. These reusable coffee capsules are the perfect answer to quality coffee with minimal footprint.

How to use

Before you brew anything in your Dolce GustoÂ® machine, we recommend ensuring your machine has been recently descaled to ensure that the brewing pressure is normal and to assist with optimal performance.

Step 1. Prepare the capsule

Remove the Silicone Cap, ensure the components are are perfectly dry, and place into the Dock. Select your Filter, and place in the base of your Capsule.

Step 2. Fill with coffee and tamp

Using a teaspoon, fill with around 7.5g-8.5g of ground coffee. Press lightly with the Tamper, filling the capsule to two-thirds capacity. Please note: Over-filling or under-filling may cause the cover to open during the brewing process. *Overfilling the capsule may result in incomplete closure of the Cap, risking damage to the machine.*

Step 3. Place the Silicone Cap on top of the Capsule, pressing until it is completely closed.

Step 4. Place the Capsule into the capsule holder of the machine

Align the front of the Silicone Cap (where the small hole is located) with the centre of the machine's capsule holder. If the machine lever doesn't close, double check that you have aligned the capsule correctly.

Step 5. Brew!

Reusable Coffee Capsules Dolce Gusto - 1 Pack

OK so I bought this 4 months ago and have used it every day and love it. I wasn't sure which one to go with at the start but am glad I went with this one to use with my Dolce Gusto machine. I got the hang of it after one or two uses and it's very easy to use and clean. I've seen some comments saying you need to wait a bit to take it out of the machine because of the suction but mine doesn't take longer than a few seconds. I can fill it with whatever I like which means it tastes much better than those single use capsules and it only requires a small amount of coffee to work - compared to a typical espresso machine so I have saved a lot of money on coffee. Couldn't recommend this enough

I agree with the review below that this capsule is easy to use and clean. It is larger than the Nespresso-size capsule which means the used ground coffee is easier to get out. The lid on the Dolce Gusto machine (which they call the 'locking handle' in the manual) does tend to be stuck for a little while each time after this capsule (as opposed to an original DG capsule) is used, but you just need to wait a little bit (in my case, no more than a few minutes) for the pressure to release before the lid opens fully and you can get the capsule out.

This is expensive but really sturdy, pays for itself in no time. its great that the tamper is included. keep the filters that go in the bottom of the pod in a safe place, they are easy to loose.

Wonderful product, easy to use and easy to clean. I use quite a lot my Dolce Gusto and although I recycle the pods, I was concerned about the amount of pods used. So I thought to give it a go and so far I am very happy. Just be a little bit careful the first time you use it, as the small filter you put at the bottom of the pod is very thin, and after I used it and empty the grinned coffee, I did not notice and the small filter end up in the bin too!. Luckly we found it back :0)
