Product Description

Urban Composter Urban Composter is the perfect solution for families.

The Urban Composter is an easy and efficient way to compost at home. This larger food scrap bin is ideal for families, offering a simple solution to reduce waste and create nutrient-rich compost. Once youโ€™ve placed your food scraps in the bin, accelerate the process with the vegan, citrus-based composting spray that contains effective micro-organisms. The resulting liquid can be used as a natural drain cleaner or, when diluted, as a garden fertiliser.

With a capacity almost twice that of the City Composter, the Urban Composter is perfect for larger households. It can also serve as an outdoor composter where the contents of the City Composter can be added.

The Urban Composter uses anaerobic composting to ferment kitchen scraps directly in the bucket. This process significantly reduces unpleasant odours and keeps flies at bay. Simply cut your food scraps into small pieces, spray with the Urban Composter Compost Accelerator Spray, and close the lid. Drain the bucket every few days to release excess moisture. The liquid produced can then be diluted and used as a nutritious fertiliser for your plants.

Specifications:

  • Capacity: 15L
  • Dimensions: 29cm (diameter) x 40cm (height at back), 35cm (height at front)
  • Material: Made from recycled plastic in Australia

Keep the composter in the kitchen or outside, ensuring the lid is sealed closed. Add food scraps to the bucket and spray with the accelerator. Leave the mixture to ferment. Periodically remove the liquid and use it as fertiliser, diluted 1:100. Once the bucket is full and the contents have fermented for 2 weeks, mix the scraps into the soil. They will break down in 4-6 weeks.

For best results, avoid placing the composter in direct sunlight, especially in hot climates.

Polypropylene Recycled Plastic.
