Top Makeup Products To Create Your Holiday Look!
Are you on the hunt for vegan and cruelty-free products to create your fun, festive holiday look?
It’s the festive season! That means… Christmas parties, functions, long lunches and nights out! We’ve put together five different looks for you to try out this season — which one will you try?
The Shimmery Eyes & Bold, Red Lip
It’s a classic makeup look for a reason — it’s beautiful, sexy and flattering! To create this look, you’ll need a lengthening black mascara, a shimmery eyeshadow base, and a vibrant long-wearing red lipstick.
Elate Amplify Beauty Kit — Coy & Gleam contains everything you need to create this gorgeous look. In this kit, you’ll find three full-sized products:
- The Black Mascara plumps and lengthens your lashes without irritating your eyes.
- The EyeColour Pencil in Gleam offers a smooth application and long-lasting wear. This silver, cool-toned pencil can be used as an eyeshadow base and highlight for the cupid’s bow.
- The LipColour Pencil in Coy offers a smooth application with a long-wearing formula, which is perfect to shape your lips. This poppy-red lip liner has warm undertones.
Steps to create this makeup look:
- Apply the Gleam EyeColour Pencil in the centre of your eyelid and blend out with your fingers (don’t forget to apply in the inner corners!)
- Curl your lashes and generously apply the Elate Black Mascara.
- Shape and fill in your lips with the Coy LipColour Pencil for a perfectly pouty look!
The Bronzed Goddess
We all want to achieve the “I just got back from holidaying in Bora Bora” look. Luckily, we can fake the post-holiday glow with makeup!
For this look, we recommend using the Eye of Horus Complexion Palette. This gorgeous illuminating palette contains Bronze Ochre (matte bronzer) and Luxor Light (champagne highlighter). Create a healthy, luxurious glow — just in time for summer.
Steps to create this makeup look:
-
With a large fluffy brush, apply Bronze Ochre to the temples, cheeks and jawline in a “3” shape. Swipe across the bridge of the nose and on your eyelids to create depth and dimension.
- With a smaller fluffy brush, apply Luxor Light to the cheekbones, tip of the nose, cupids bow, and the inner corners of your eyes for a lit-from-within look.
The All-Natural Beauty
To achieve the “is she wearing makeup?” look, try to think of the features on your face that you want to accentuate! A small amount of makeup can make you look refreshed, youthful and more put together.
Recently, we’ve been loving the NEW Axiology Balmies Sets! The Malibu Magic Set contains three lip-to-lid balmies which can be applied on the lips, cheeks and eyelids! They’re hydrating, pigmented, and super easy to blend.
- Clementine - A barely-there orange meets a shimmery nude.
- Champagne - A dewy nude with subtle hints of gold.
- Peach - A peachy pink with a golden sheen.
Steps to create this makeup look:
- Apply Clementine onto the apples of your cheeks and blend in with your fingers.
- Apply Champagne onto your eyelids, cheekbones, the tip of your nose, and the cupids bow. Again, blend in with your fingers!
- To finish, apply Peach onto your lips for an all-natural, “I woke up like this” look!
The Cat Eye & Vampy Lips
If you’re in the mood for something dark, bold and sexy — don’t worry, we’ve got the products for you!
To create a bold winged liner look, we recommend using the INIKA Liquid Liner. This jet-black liquid liner provides intense, long-lasting smudge-proof definition. Pair your sharp cat eye with the dark and mysterious VonBlü Lipstick in Erovra. This deep burgundy shade is enriched with Vitamin E for a semi-matte finish.
Steps to create this makeup look:
- Trace the INIKA Liquid Liner three-quarters of the way along your lash line, then flick upwards for a cat-eye effect. It’s okay if you mess it up! Apply some eye makeup remover onto a cotton bud to shape your wing.
- For best results, apply the Erovra VonBlü Lipstick onto dry lips. Take some time to shape your lips, then blot with a tissue for a matte look.
The festive season is a great time to try out new makeup looks. Applying makeup is meant to be an enjoyable process, and perhaps even an expression of your creativity. Have fun with it!
