On Saturday 13th of July 2019, we launched the first Flora & Fauna store! First off, we’d like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who came along to our grand opening. It was an incredible day.
We had over 1000 people join us on the day and it was amazing to chat with you, our gorgeous customers! Never in our wildest dreams did we think so many of you would come along, so thank you for showing your continued support; we couldn’t have done this without you. The launch was surreal and we had to take a moment to step back and think, wow - we did it!
On the grand opening, we had some of our wonderful brands come along, giving you the opportunity to meet the makers behind some of our most loved F&F goodies. Treat Dreams, Ulu Hye, The Swag, Eco Max, ECO. Modern Essentials, Black Chicken and more!
We had Inika offering free makeovers in-store, Vineful serving up vegan wines from Vinny the gorgeous vintage wine truck, Treat Dreams with a 'make your own' vegan chocolate bar stall, and delicious vegan food on hand from local vendors. Mi & Tea and Piece By Peace Desserts were serving up scrumptious vegan banh mi, mylk bubble tea, and desserts, and they did not disappoint - so much so that they all sold out before 2pm!
The first 200 people through the door received an amazing goodie bag with over $250 of value inside. It included some of our favourite F&F brands; Green + Kind, Dr Bronner’s, Black Chicken, ecostore, The ANSC, Wrappa and so much more. We want to say a big thank you again for those who waited in line, we know some of you waited over an hour!
We also had the incredible team from Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary at the Grand Opening. Where Pigs Fly is a Farm Sanctuary located in the Hunter Valley, NSW and rescue animals in need, and in turn, provide them with their forever home where they receive lots of love and care. We love partnering with Where Pigs Fly and support however we can. On the grand opening, you may have entered our raffle (and maybe even won an amazing prize!). We’re thrilled to announce we raised $1360 and we’re donating 100% of the proceeds to Where Pigs Fly!
At our grand opening, we also launched 3 new brands! Tea Tonic, who were serving up delicious teas all day long, Pure Baby and Sophie La Girafe.
