What's Special About Little Acre's Gourmet Mushroom Kits?
Gourmet mushrooms are one of the few vegetables that need very specific conditions to grow and flourish. That's why, Little Acre has done the hard work for you. What Mushroom Grow Kit Should I Pick?
Here at F&F, we stock 5 different mushroom kits. So how do they compare?
- Little Acre DIY Organic Mushroom Mini Farm - This kit will teach you a simple method for growing mushrooms and starting your own mushroom farm.
- Little Acre Pearl Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit - Pearl oyster mushrooms tend to fruit in 10-14 days and grow well from 15°C to 30°C. They start out white but as they grow they develop an amazing blue tinge which fades into a beautiful pearl colour. Each kit will usually produce 2 harvests or around 150g - 300g of mushrooms.
- Little Acre White Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit - White oyster mushrooms are robust and grow well from 10°C to 30°C. Mushrooms grown at colder temperatures are darker in colour, and those grown in warmer temperatures are lighter. Each kit will usually produce 2 harvests or around 150g - 300g of mushrooms.
- Little Acre Blue Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit - Blue oyster mushrooms are a little slower to mature (14-21 days) but grow well from 10°C to 24°C. Mushrooms grown at colder temperatures are a darker blue colouring, and as they mature they become a steel grey colour. Each kit will usually produce 2 harvests or around 150g - 300g of mushrooms.
- Little Acre Lion's Mane Mushroom Grow Kit - Lion's mane mushrooms grow well from 17°C to 24°C and have a unique fluffy ball appearance and a mild, sweet flavour. Each kit will usually produce 2 harvests or around 150g - 300g of mushrooms.

How To Use Little Acre's Mushroom Grow Kits
- Open the box to find your detailed instruction card and spray bottle.
- Following the instructions in the box, cut an 'X' shape into the substrate bag.
- Use the spray bottle to mist the cut area 2-3 times per day to create a humid environment.
- After a few weeks or so harvest your mushrooms.
Note: The ideal temperature for the best quality of mushrooms to form is between 18-24°C.
