Have you ever noticed the little encircled 'B' labelled on products? Whilst little, this symbol has a big impact and is a way for customers to instantly recognise that businesses are doing good! Here at F&F you'll be happy to know (if not already) that we are a Certified B Corp and are using our power to solve social and environmental problems, and balance purpose and profit.
As a purpose-led business, becoming a B Corp was the obvious step for us early on in our F&F journey.
In Australia, there are just over 1000 businesses who are B Corp! Let's get to know some of your fave B Corp Brands who are using their power for purpose!
Green + Kind
Green + Kind is founded by the founders of Flora & Fauna and as such, becoming a B Corp was a no brainer.
Green + Kind is heavily focused on conservation whether that be marine, animal or the environment. With this in mind, creating products that are eco friendly, ethical and work was essential.
Green + Kind is also a member of 1% For The Planet, meaning 1% of all Green + Kind sales are donated each year to environmental non-profit partners.
ecostore
ecostore make sustainable, safe and affordable home and body products. They use carbon capture packaging, sugarcane plastic bottles that help reduce your carbon footprint and are 100% recyclable.
ecostore said, "we’ve always been led by strong values, to be better for people and the planet. Becoming a B Corp is our commitment to balance purpose and profit and use our business as a force for good. This gives us a formal framework for measuring our impacts in all areas (not just our strengths) and gives us a clear pathway for continuous improvement." We're delighted to have them at F&F.
Ethique
Ethique is on a mission to rid the world of plastic waste. They have stopped over 20 million plastic bottles from being made & disposed of into landfills to date, thanks to their sustainable bars for your hair, body, face, laundry... and even your dog!
Since April 22 2020, Ethique has planted a tree for every order placed on their website. As of 15 May 2021, that figure sits at 212,500 trees. The offset is over 1,167 tonnes of carbon dioxide! Ethique's next plan, is to save half a billion plastic bottles from being manufactured and disposed of in landfill by 2030. A huge effort!
